Bonjour all my lovely readers & followers…. Just to let you know that Beverbeee has moved to a new home. I was getting really down with the layout and the photo quality on wordpress that i moved my content to blogger and started fresh.

Tweet Tweet.

I’m a Twitter bird. I love socialising on Twitter and much prefer it over Facebook. Since starting my blog, I’ve met some of the most incredible people through Twitter and although I’ve never met them, I feel part of an amazing community.

Whether your blog about popular topics or very niche topics, you’ll always find a community to join. I’ve seen so many job opportunities and collaborations crop up on Twitter that I would never have seen had I not had some amazing people retweeting opportunities.

If you’ve never set foot on Twitter, now is the time! It’s so easy to use and connects you to the whole world and not just your friends or family.

I’m always looking for new friends on social media & you can find me here;

Happy Blogiversary Beverbeee!

So, this July marks exactly one year since i started this blog. Starting out, i wanted something i could do as a hobby and i enjoyed writing so what better than to start a blog. I wanted to create an online diary which i could look back at in the future and say “look at all the amazing things i did”. What i didn’t imagine was how addictive blogging was. It wasn’t just writing about things i’m passionate about, it was connecting with other people.

I’m usually a person who prefers what she knows, – staying in, keeping to myself etc but blogging has made me open up and connect with all you lovely people whether it’s via wordpress, twitter or instagram! I find myself wanting to get involved and i’m working myself up to possibly attending events (watch this space, i’m still completely terrified of meeting new people) and i’m sure in another year things will be completely different.

I didn’t start my blog thinking i would receive free things and i’m still not under that impression. Although i have received some really great products and worked with some amazing brands, that’s not what blogging is about for me. I enjoy writing to connect with people – even if it’s only one person in the entire world. I know some great people in the blogging community and although i haven’t met other bloggers (YET!) they are the best community of people! Always there for each other and so supportive.

I’m still learning – my pictures are not the best and i’m well aware of that. Sometimes i have NO ideas what so ever about posts so there’s nothing for a few weeks but it’s my blog and i’d rather post when i have something to say rather than because i’ve told myself i will post a certain number of times etc.

I’m hoping blogging will bring more great opportunities to connect with others!

Thank you all so much for reading my ramblings and for connecting with me – you have no idea how much it means to me!

Blue Vanilla Post Christmas Sale!

Blue-Vanilla-Logo-320x131

Everyone knows the time in between Christmas & New Year is used for thinking up resolutions we can break and sale shopping. Whether it’s for TV’s, Clothes or just general bits and bobs, we all love a good bargain. My mother got a £76 turkey for around £15 on boxing day so i’m guessing it’s turkey dishes galore for the next few weeks. 🙂

So, i know of a website which is having a 50% sale on all clothing! – Who needs anything else but clothes right?

To show you some of what they have on their website, i was looking at New Years outfits i could purchase on here. So here are my top 3 picks:

blue vanilla

This 1920’s Gatsby inspired dress is perfect for new year and i love love love the net covering over the skirt. Pair with a killer heel and you’re ready to go. You can also go for the classic red lip to give this outfit a pop of colour too!

And finally, if you’re not brave enough to step out without a little bit of cover during this cold winter, this dress is for you! The long patterned sleeves give it warmth as well as making it stand out from your standard little black dress. You can mix accessories to brighten up this dress or stick with simple black. The dress is also available in Teal or Plum so take your pick if you fancy standing out this new year!

This dress is £26.00.  Delivery is the same as outlined above.

Also, they have 50% off as a treat yourself offer – Cardigans, dresses, tops, skirts – you name it, they have it on sale. Also, check out the knitwear selection – they have all you could ever need this winter to keep you warm indoor and outdoors!

The Christmas Tag

christmas

So the lovely Dee from Prompts by Dee has tagged me to do this christmas post. I was also tagged by Katie of Plus+ Beauty to do a jolly blogger award so i thought i best not let these lovely girls down! You should definitely check out their blogs as they are amazing & both these girls are darlings!

I’ve decided to take some of the christmas questions from both to make it fair! 😀

-What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

Ooo definitely somewhere cold and snowy. Maybe New York. Such wonderful christmas decorations and lights with the added bonus of snow! It wouldn’t be the same somewhere hot! CentreParcs is also a good bet, they have such cute light up deer and it’s a great feeling being away from the cities and crowds! (and work!)

What is your Favourite winter clothing?

Christmas jumper or new cosy pj’s! Christmas and winter isn’t complete without new warm pj’s 🙂

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

This reminds me of one Christmas where my mum and stepdad just said ‘it’s technically christmas’ when it got to about 2am so we opened all the presents! Oops! Normally, if my mums got me some new pj’s we opened these so we could sleep in them! 😀

-What is your favourite Christmas drink or food?

Oh so much good food at Christmas! Cinnamon and raisin bagels always remind me of christmas as it’s what we normally eat for breakfast but nothing can beat a christmas dinner with EVERYTHING on there. and apple sauce with everything because i’m Bev and i’m disgusting! To drink, a cup of hot tea is the must have but a snowball is my alcohol of choice (closely followed by baileys – p.s if you don’t know what a snowball is – google it!)

-Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

always failed at this. failed last year, already failed this year. My mother wrapped presents better than i ever could when she had her arm in a sling because of a broken collar bone. She’s great! One day i hope i can be as good as her!

What is your favourite Winter Makeup look?

Just the usual, good foundation based with lots of mascara and lip balm so my lips don’t look cracked! The cold air sorts my cheeks out with colour and voila! 🙂

What is on your Christmas wish list?

Oooo, not a lot this year, i seem to have everything i want/need. Some lush stuff wouldn’t go a miss. But i’ll be happy with anything! I like buying presents for others really!

So, there you go! A few questions from both posts! Feel free to steal them and answer yourself!

Merry Christmas!
